FIELD BUILT PLANS Free sample

FAQ

What do I get when I buy a plan?

A printable PDF, US Letter size, imperial measurements: specs, a shopping list with tools and a materials estimate, a lettered cut list, illustrated steps, framing drawings and a safety page. Page counts: shooting house 33, ground blind 33 to 34, walk-in chicken coop 42, firewood shed 27 to 28.

How do I get the file?

Checkout and downloads run through our store on Gumroad. After you pay you get the download link right away and by email. If the email doesn't show up, check your spam folder, or use Gumroad's 'Get your download link' page with the email you bought with.

Are the pictures photos of real builds?

No. Every picture on this site and on the store is a render of the 3D model the plan is drawn from. The page images are real pages from the PDFs.

Are these engineered plans?

No. They're detailed build plans, not engineered or stamped drawings. Check with your county and the landowner before you build; some places want a permit over a certain height or limit permanent blinds.

What does it cost to build?

Each plan prints its own materials estimate at 2026 big-box prices. Our estimates run from about $700 for the smallest 5x4 firewood shed to about $4,650 for the 6x8 walk-in chicken coop with 8x12 run. Every size's full shopping list and estimate is free on its page and in the materials calculator.

Can I get a size you don't list?

Not right now. We sell the sizes on the site; each is drawn and checked as its own plan.

What's your refund policy?

Because it's a download, sales are final. But if the file won't open, or a dimension in the plan doesn't add up, write us within 30 days and we'll send a corrected file or refund you.

Can I share the plan or sell what I build?

Please don't share or resell the files; the plans are for personal use. If you want to build these to sell, ask us first.

Is it metric?

No. Measurements are imperial (feet and inches) and the lumber is US sizes.
